Multi Wheel Online Casino Roulette Games
Published on: March 18, 2011
Multi wheel roulette games are like multi hand blackjack or multi hand video poker games. They allow players at online casinos to place multiple wagers without having to initiate proceedings all over again. Whereas multi hand video poker games are common, multi hand roulette games are rare. The first one was Three Wheel Roulette from the software provider WagerWorks. Recently Microgaming launched Multi Wheel Roulette with eight wheels.
WagerWorks Three Wheel Roulette has three wheels aligned concentrically around the central hub that contains the pockets. The player has to wager on all three wheels. This means that any bet placed by him is automatically tripled and deducted from his balance. One third of the total bet is associated with each wheel. When the spin button is clicked all three wheels start spinning independent of each other. The ball first comes to rest in one of the pockets in the hub. Then the inner most wheel stops and the number for that wheel is called. The process is repeated in turn for the central wheel and the outer most wheel. The bets are settled independently and paid off.
WagerWorks Three Wheel Roulette has an optional side bet called Color Up Bonus. It is decided on the combination of numbers for all three wheels. If zero is called in all three wheels then the payout is 1000 to 1. Other payouts are any triplet 100 to 1, zero pair 50 to 1, straight 25 to 1, pair 5 to 1 and color match 1 to 1.
WagerWorks Three Wheel Roulette is a fairly old online casino game and therefore it does not have the frills and features prevalent in the latest roulette variants. For example there is no race track layout and no call bets. Players are free to place call bets by placing appropriate chips on the normal layout but that is a cumbersome process. Also there is no facility to save bets or wager in auto play mode. WagerWorks Three Wheel Roulette is played in the French Roulette format and is available at online casinos like Virgin Casino.
Microgaming Multi Wheel Roulette has eight wheels. Each wheel is an independent whole with its own pockets and numbers ring, unlike the concentric structure in the WagerWorks variant. Players can enable any number of wheels they want to play from one to eight. There is a common layout and the bet is placed on that layout. This is referred to as the wheel bet. The total bet that is the product of the wheel bet and the number of wheels enabled. All enabled wheels are spun simultaneously by clicking the spin button. The wheels come to rest one by one. All bets are settled independently.
Microgaming Multi Wheel Roulette has all the features available in online roulette variants. The design is executed in a manner that the screen is not cluttered up. An arrow on the right side reveals the race track pattern and call bets can be placed directly on that pattern. The Expert tab on the left reveals editing and saving layouts, auto play, cover percent data and enabling quick spin mode. Microgaming Multi Spin Roulette can be played at online casinos like Royal Vegas, All Slots, Spin Palace and Gaming Club.
