Leave it to the United States to capitalize in an area the government will not support.  In Reading, Pennsylvania it was announced there would be an online casino course offered at a local college.  School has started for many kids, though most colleges will not start until September. Many college students are still gearing up getting their textbooks, making sure they are enrolled, and their semester is paid for.  Berks County is now offering a new class for those who are going to community college.

They like to keep a pulse on how the community and how careers are changing.  The new course at the Reading Area Community College is based on table games in the online casino world.  John Devere is the dean of the college, who implemented the online casino course.  He stated that since there is no guarantee that any casinos will be built nearby, he felt his best chance was to look at the online casino industry.  He also stated that he didn’t want to hire a full time or part time instructor to teach the course.

The course is instead a PC at home option.  It allows for online courses that have open enrollment for such things like table games.  They are short term courses with certificate programs being offered in the online world.  The instructor for the course can be based anywhere in the US. All students do is get online via email and live chats.  The thing is that table games have been on the rise in Pennsylvania, enough so that 4,460 jobs were actually created, even if Reading does not have any of them.  This means that students taking online casino courses for table games are able to work at these nearby casinos in an online or live capacity.  There has been a hike in casinos by 18 per cent in the last month.

It may be that Reading is the first community college to have an online casino course, but they will probably not be the last.  In the last year more and more 3D casinos have been launched.  More than that, the advent of live dealers has made the online games more exciting and real.  The course at this community college is all about how to work the industry and where it is headed in the future to gain employment, even if the USA will not legalize online casinos at the moment.
