Live Dealer Elimination Blackjack Software Being Tested

Published on: July 20, 2008

GPS Global, a major online casino software programming company, has announced that they have started beta testing their new Live Dealer Elimination Blackjack software.  If the software is well received by online casino players, they will launch the software in the next few weeks.  Live dealer games are fairly new to the online casino world even though online casinos have been around for the better part of ten years.  In a live dealer game, players get to interact with a live dealer via a webcam.  The games are in real time and players can bet, raise, and fold without ever leaving their home.  Live dealers provide players with the same type of service and friendly bantering they would receive if they were sitting at a game table in a brick and mortar casino.

Currently only a few online casino software companies offer live dealer games to their customers.  GPS’s offering is the first of its kind and according to the Director of Casino Operations for GPS Global, Lawrence Davie, their Live Dealer Elimination software will set a new standard for the online casino industry.  He went on to say that the feedback they have already received from the players has been very positive.  The players like to see the cards as they are shuffled and dealt in front of them as compared to a computer shuffling and dealing the cards for them.

GPS Global has five different live dealer games already finished and seven more in production.  The live dealer elimination games have been becoming more and more popular over the last few years and GPS believes that this is the next logical step.  Elimination Blackjack Tournaments are already being played on major online casinos with some of them being offered on a daily and hourly basis. By adding the element of a live dealer and real time play, the game will definitely set the bar high for other websites to follow.

GPS’s David went on to add that the elimination tournaments have exploded and compares the popularity of the game to the explosion of poker over the last ten years.  His statement is supported by the number of players that have been entering the online elimination tournaments every day.  The company started testing the software on July 17 and expects to have the results of the testing in three weeks.  GPS Global will then announce the official launch date of the product after the testing results have been analyzed.

So far GPS has the following Live Dealer Elimination games ready to launch: Blackjack; Roulette; Baccarat; Three Card Poker; and Red Dog Poker.  Let It Ride, Casino War, Rummy and Sic Bo are being developed.  The live dealer games will be offered at first on LazerWager and Deal4RealCasino.
