NETeller US Member Repayments Begin

Published on: July 31, 2007

It's been long over due, but UK based payment processor's NETeller, have announced that the time has finally come, where they will begin the process of paying back US customers whose funds have been frozen for months because of NETeller legal matters.

The company has recently come to an agreement with the US attorney's office and is now able to get back on track with day to day operations and continue business as usual.  This being said, one of the first orders of business is to return the more than $94 million owed to US customers.  And as of yesterday, July 30th, the process began.

According to a statement on NETeller's website, US members will be notified by email letting them know when they can begin to request their funds.  The funds must also be requested by Jan 26, 2008 and will delivered to the client via electronic transfer to their bank account or via check sent to the members mailing address.

NETeller has also noted on their website that due to the fact that it is a large sum of money being returned to many members, that customers please be patient as the process could take a while.  They also ask for customer's patience when trying to log in to NETeller, as they expect the site to be very busy and to please try back later if members are unable to access their accounts.

Finally, NETeller has mentioned on that it is a good idea to check back with site for any other updates.  They also want to warn customers to be wary of any scams that may arise in conjunction with the repayment efforts.  They advise to only log into the neteller.com website when requesting repayment of funds and to be sure that the site has neteller.com as the top level domain along with the http security protocol.
