PartyGaming Casino and Poker Properties Receives eCOGRA Accreditation

PartyGaming, one of the largest online gambling establishments, has received eCOGRA accreditation at three of their sites.  The accreditation is awarded to online gaming sites that have passed the testing and inspection criteria that have been established for online casinos and poker rooms.  The three sites that were accredited are Party Casino, PartyPoker, and EmpirePoker.

According to eCOGRA CEO Andrew Beveridge the three sites passed the extensive testing and inspection of the eCOGRA compliance team.  eCOGRA is an organization that establishes protection and standards for independent players.  The three sites were awarded to the revocable ‘Safe and Fair’ seal, an honour they will keep as long as the three sites continue to meet the criteria set forth by eCOGRA.  The criteria include responsible gambling practices, player protection safeguards, management and fiscal integrity, and operational best practice.

The assessments provided by eCOGRA are done on behalf of the European Gaming and Betting Association.  PartyGaming is a member of the Association and both the European Gaming and Betting Association and eCOGRA share the goal of making sure the online gambling industry provides the highest quality gaming sites possible.  To do this, they verify and award the seal to online gaming sites that display best practices in operational and regulatory compliance both in the industry as a whole and in the jurisdictions the sites are operated through.

PartyGaming CEO Jim Ryan was very pleased with the announcement from eCOGRA that three of the sites the company runs qualified to receive this mark of distinction.  "PartyGaming is committed to responsible gaming and [we] want all of our players to play on our online sites for the right reason - to have fun and play within their means. These new seals show our sites provide our players with a very high level of protection backed by our EGBA membership and eCOGRA accreditation.”

Ryan went on to state that the standards eCOGRA practices are focused on making sure that all players involved are provided with gaming websites that practice fair gaming, provide player protection from all aspects of cybercrime, and that gaming websites are operated in a responsible manner.  He claims that the EGBA take it to the next level of commitment by allowing the members of the Association to show that they are in line with or exceed the standards that the primary licensing jurisdictions and state monopolies around the globe require.

Players can expect to see the ‘Safe and Fair’ seal prominently displayed on the websites the next time they log on.
