Titan Poker Back With European Championship Of Online Poker

Published on: September 15, 2008

For the third time in a row, online casino website Titan Poker will be hosting the European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP) in November.  The series in 2008 is predicted to be bigger and better than the previous two years and players who take part in the online tournament have the chance to win $4.15 million in guaranteed prize pools.  The competition is scheduled to last for 14 days.

The original Titan Poker ECOOP that was held in 2007 only lasted 10 days and there was only $2.5 million offered in guaranteed prizes.  The winner of the WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker) was ‘wkllkllu’.  This player won a grand prize of $220,000 for taking first place in the online poker competition.

The second ECOOP was held in May 2008 and it was ten days long just like the first game.  The poker tournament featured a variety of different poker games and mini-tournaments and the guaranteed prize pool went from $2.5 million to $3.6 million. Top online poker players from around the world competed in the second ECOOP and ‘Jeanss89’ took the main event, earning an ECOOP bracelet – a popular prize in the poker world – and $415,000.

The third instalment of the ECOOP will once again feature a variety of tournaments for players to enjoy while they are heading towards earning part of the guaranteed $4.15 million prize pool.  According to a Titan Poker spokesperson the tournament was extended to 14 days so additional Titan Poker players could ‘showcase their skill and play for the sensational reward on offer’.  The ECOOP IIII is planned to run from November 24 through December 7, 2008.

Additionally, Titan Poker is offering players other ways to win money between now and the time the ECOOP starts.  Regular games will be offered and any player who registers at Titan Poker through special website links will be eligible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly freeroll events.  The weekly freerolls will start on September 27, 2008 and are offering $1,000 prize pools.  There is a 1 poker point buy-in to enter the weekly freerolls.

The monthly freeroll of $5,000 is exclusive to members of specific websites who are affiliates of Titan Poker and earn 100 poker points during the month prior to the tournament.  From there, the top 30 players in the freeroll events will also gain an entry into the quarterly $15,000 freeroll.  Members of Titan Poker can also enter the quarterly freeroll by earning 1,500 poker points during the qualifying time period as set by Titan Poker.
